HISTORY OF (MRF) MADRAS RUBBER FACTORY
K.M.Mammen Mappillai was the founder of (MRF) MADRAS
RUBBER FACTORY. As a startup, it was started as a toy balloon
manufacturing unit in 1946 at Tiruvottiyur, Madras (now Chennai). MRF was
ventured into the manufacture of tread rubber in 1952. It was incorporated as a
private limited company in 1960.
